Describes how to enable DRE optimization in configuration groups by configuring AppQoE under Service Profile, and how to optimize encrypted traffic with TLS/SSL Decryption from policy groups, with device platform support considerations.

A DRE configuration using configuration groups is a configuration method that

  • enables DRE optimization by configuring AppQoE under Service Profile in a configuration group

  • requires configuring and deploying TLS/SSL Decryption from policy groups to optimize encrypted traffic, and

  • applies only to device platforms that support DRE.

Configuration group details

Minimum supported release: Cisco IOS XE Catalyst SD-WAN Release 17.14.1a and Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager Release 20.14.1

You can enable DRE optimisation using Cisco SD-WAN Manager by configuring AppQoE feature under Service Profile in a configuration group. For more information see, AppQoE.

To optimize HTTPS, FTPS, or any other encrypted traffic, configure and deploy TLS/SSL Decryption from policy groups. For more information see, Embedded Security Additional Settings.

Note

You can configure DRE using configuration groups only on DRE supported device platforms. If you enable AppQoE DRE optimization in a configuration group and deploy a device that does not support DRE, the deployment fails.
